Excerpt from Chapter Ten – “Bed Days — Some Awesome Record-Keeping”:

Dammo remained the underwriter of the trip until she passed away. Afterwards, Billy developed a unique system to track expenses. Because the cottage had an “open door policy,” vacationers arrived and left all during the two-week period, creating a who-to-charge-what nightmare. Billy, a retired textile executive and excellent statistician, devised an ingenious method to accurately account for every person on every day they occupied a bed. An elaborate chart he called “Bed Days” enabled Billy to keep track of the comings and goings.
